2013 VW CC features the redesigned facade that gets a new chrome-trimmed grille, reshaped headlamps that incorporate a ring of LEDs and a reworked bumper. Similar changes can be found at the rear end with the new LED tail lamp, bumper and boot lid designs. A brand new choice of paints and alloy wheel options make the exterior make lively and stylish. For the interiors VW’s designers fiddled around with the air-conditioning controls and trim options.
The company claims of improving the standard features across the range with the addition of a fatigue detection system, new audio, stainless steel door sills and safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment for the front seats. A brand new batch of available assistance systems such as the Side Assist Plus with integrated Lane Assist that warns of vehicles in blind spots and assists driver in avoiding an accident by steering intervention, Dynamic Light Assist and a camera-based traffic sign detection system are also some additional features.
2013 Volkswagen CC Sedan has been awarded the 2011 Top Safety Pick crown by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and hence is also considered as a safe car. For the new Sedan some markets will get the blind-spot detection and lane-monitoring technologies, and also that VW will offer a system that can detect and recognize traffic signs. However, it hasn’t been specified yet that the U.S. editions will get these advanced safety features. For more updates on 2013 VW CC just check out the LA auto show later this month.
