The Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30, which is expected to go on sale in the U.S. early next year, marks the 30th anniversary of the first Jetta GLI in the country.
Though the pricing of the car is not yet announced, it is expected to be announced closer to the launch. The GLI Edition 30 comes fitted with a four-cylinder engine of 210-horsepower 2.0-liter TSI inline. It is also equipped with either a dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.
As far as the special model of the GLI is concerned, it is available in two trim levels and is fitted with an 18-inch “Laguna” aluminum-alloy wheels. In addition, it has a red trim on the front
grille, the Edition 30 badging and a trunk-lid-mounted spoiler.
On the other hand, the uplevel Edition 30 of the GLI, which comes with Navigation, is also equipped with the red trim inside the bi-xenon headlights.
The GLI Edition 30 cabin has leatherette seats with red accents. Moreover, it also has red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, brake lever, shifter and armrests. This red stitching can also be seen in Edition 30 kickplates and floor mats.
As far as colors are concerned, the Jetta GLI Edition 30 will be available in four colors, including Deep Black Metallic, Pure White, Tornado Red and Reflex Silver Metallic. It has standard features like leather-wrapped steering wheel, foglights, Bluetooth and LED taillights.
The Edition 30 with Navigation, on the other hand, has added features of and bi-xenon headlights with the adaptive front-lighting system along with push-button start and LED daytime running lights.
