According to Volkswagen of America, the starting price of the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been fixed at $26,165, including a destination charge of $820. The price change this year reflects a $175 increase over the 2014 model.
On the other hand, the starting price of the top-of-the-line, the R-Line, of 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been fixed at $35,915 and this car comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Consumers can get the Beetle Convertible at VW dealerships now, as the car has already been put on sale.
There is a new car that joins the line-up for the new model year and this is the limited-edition Beetle Convertible Classic. This new model comes with a unique seat fabric, 17-inch Circle wheels, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a navigation system. The starting price of this new classic version is fixed at $26,815, including shipping. However, this new model is a carryover version having minimal changes.
Same as the 2015 Beetle, the 2015 Beetle convertible is also equipped with the new four-cylinder TDI 2.0-liter Clean Diesel engine. Volkswagen states that the highway fuel economy on the automatic-transmission model as estimated by EPA has improved by 3 mpg to reach 40 mpg.
Among the key rivals of the Beetle Convertible are namely, the Fiat 500c, Mini Cooper Convertible and the Mazda MX-5 Miata.
