Aldo Rollandi’s Maldino Sportruck
Being behind Maldino Customs, a workshop that’s fast making a name for itself as the place to go for custom paint and bodywork and most other things related to styling, it makes sense that Aldo Rollandi would have a sweet ride.
Luckily for us (and all of you VW nutters out there) Aldo is a huge VW fan. He’s had a few super hot models in the past and what you’re seeing now is his latest creation, a G60 supercharged Caddy. It’s been kitted out to transport his MTB around, and I reckon it’s the most styling way possible.
Under the hood is an 1800cc G60 supercharged 8-valve, built by Morne, a well-known name in Vdub circles. It’s running an OE harness with a chipped ECU. For the exterior, the wheels are custom RB Rota’s in 13x7J wrapped in imported Yokohama 175/50R13 rubber. It’s slammed on a Koni, H&R and Bilstein suspension setup and features custom front calipers.
On the bodywork side he’s given it a “clean dutch flush” (no side mirrors, rear valance) with R8 V10 Grau paint and a ‘Sportruck’ US spec’d painted logo in Bugatti Burgundy that’s all inished off with custom tail lights. There’s an original BBS front truck spoiler and a red Chamfuta wooden load bin. There’s Wolfsburg goodies inside and the interior is finished in Grade A Rooster Red leather on original MkI GT seats. Pure class!
Well done Aldo, we’re officially jealous.
