Volkswagen has just officially launched the 2011 VW Polo GTI in Europe, after its successful preview in March. This efficient 1.4 liter 4 cylinder twin charged hatchback is already being compared to the legendary VW MK1 Golf GTI. This new Volkswagen Polo comes with a turbocharger and supercharger, a 170 HP engine, and uses a dual clutch 7-speed gearbox to accelerate the VW Polo GTI to 60 in 6.9 seconds while returning a combined 40 MPG, giving the car a top speed of 229 km/h (142 mph).
Although the VW Polo is relatively heavy for its size, it is packed with the most advanced technology that only race cars usually boast, and offers the driver an expensive car for very little money. Some of these great features include electric windows all round, sports seats, full airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, with a panoramic sun roof, and bi-xenon headlamps as optional extras.
