Spy shots of 2014 VW Polo Facelift on Indian roads hits the net ahead of its July launch
Spy shots of the upcoming Volkswagen Polo facelift have hit the internet before its impending launch, thereby giving a clear indication that the vehicle is all set to reach the market.
The latest spy shots of the Polo facelift are seen without any disguise, thereby showing the front and rear end of the car. The images truly depict the new features of the 2014 VW Polo facelift. The new model comes with a bit different front façade with the new Grille and headlight as compared to the current model. Moreover, Volkswagen has also worked on the rear end design of the car, which was evident from the revamped rear bumper and tail lamps.
The 2014 Polo facelift, which was first revealed at Geneva Motor Show 2014, is expected to unveil in India on 15 July 2015. Indian consumers will have both the petrol and diesel versions of the car to choose from like its precursor. But the diesel engine will be available with a twist so that the customers can avail the benefit of reduction in excise duty.
On the other hand, the petrol model of the car will still come with the same naturally-aspirated 1.2 litre three-cylinder engine. However the diesel variant will be fitted with a new 1.5-litre engine in place of its existing TDI engine of 1.6-litre.
As far as the key features and upgrades in the imminent India specific version of the Polo facelift are concerned, the car will come with a single slat chrome grille along with fresh mirror elements on headlights. Besides, the interior of the car is also equipped with few new features such as silver inserts for the center console and three-spoke steering wheel.
The pricing details of the Polo facelift in India is not yet revealed by the German automaker, however, as per earlier reports suggest that the Volkswagen has already started accepting bookings for the new car. Customers can pay an advance of ₹50,000 to book the 2014 Volkswagen Polo Facelift.
It is also expected that the Polo facelift launch will be followed by the launch of Polo GT TSI and GT TDI in India in August.
