We have already heard that Volkswagen Golf bagged 2013 World Car of the Year Award. After the success of its GTI versions, Volkswagen is working on a sportier version of the Golf named as Golf R.
Here, we have the spy shots of the Golf R. Looking at the images, we conclude that the Golf R’s rear features quadruple exhaust outlets. Although there is no word about the power, yet we can expect it to deliver 300 horsepower making it the most powerful production Golf ever.
The Volkswagen Golf R has reached the Nürburgring for last tests. It is expected to hit the markets late 2013.
Large trapezoidal front grilles, sporty alloy wheels wearing low-profile rubber, and quad tailpipes are a few characteristics that are expected in the upcoming car.
The new model of the Golf R is expected to boast turbocharged four-cylinder. This means that the power generation would be more as compared to the current version of the Golf R in the markets, i.e. from the 261bhp to whooping 286bhp.
