Volkswagen continues to triumph over competitors taking three awards at the Plus X Awards and two more at the iF Design Awards. The new Tiguan, Touran and the BUDD-e concept therefore took a total of five significant innovation and design prizes!
The Plus X Awards are known for being one of the biggest in the world in terms of innovative technology, sport and lifestyle, it is quite evident that the judges were absolutely impressed and won over by the three Volkswagen brand models. The new Tiguan and Touran took the award for ‘High Quality, Design, Ease of Use and Functionality’ which shouldn’t be much of a surprise as that is where the carmaker excels in.
The BUDD-e concept that we reported on a few weeks ago won the award for ‘Innovation and Design’ after it hit the headlines in January at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The good news didn’t end there for Volkswagen as they also received awards from the international iF jury; they awarded the design of the Touran compact MPV and the new Tiguan with the ‘2016 iF Design Award’! For over 60 years, this trophy has been regarded as one of the world’s most important design prizes, it has also been recognised as a hallmark of excellent product design.
Volkswagen continues to be the best carmaker for the general public as it excels in innovation, style, functionality as well as diversity and their hard work and dedication really pays off as they continue to win the most important awards in this respect.
