Volkswagen Beetle Gets Heated Up
In spite of rumours suggesting that Volkswagen might discontinue production of the Beetle, they are actually freshening up what might be their most famous nameplate.
VW Vortex reports that the Beetle gets new colours and options that will allow for more individualization for buyers.
The updated Beetle gets two colour options which are Bottle Green Metallic and White Silver Metallic. Volkswagen is said to be promoting these two colours to “ride the line between retro and stylish”.
There are also three new upholstery materials which give owners more colour options for the interior.
The exterior does not only get new colours. There are new 17-inch Philadelphia and 18-inch Ravenna Adamantium wheels. There are also new, flatter and sportier bumpers for the Basic and Design, while the Beetle Sport gets replaced by the R-Line, which will of course get even sportier bumpers.
So far these updates have only been announced for European owners, but they’ll be available on all special editions of the Beetle, including the Denim, the All-Star, the Exclusive, and of course the R-Line editions.
While all the new options as well as the fact that the full range of engines will still be available have been revealed, prices are yet to be confirmed.
