Last year Volkswagen revealed a sneak preview of how the R-Line package of the Golf SV would look like. This year VW is bringing even greater news to their fans as they will be pleased to hear that the dynamic sports van has now been made available for orders!
Like any other R-Line, the VW Golf SV R-Line has undergone no performance tuning, the R-Line package only enhances the looks in the cabin and offers a sportier body kit. There are new sportier-looking bumpers front and rear, side sill extensions, R-Line air intakes, slightly smoked out taillights, anodized aluminum roof rails, and of course some R-line badges on the grille and on the side of the car.
For customers who like their toys fitted with optional extras, the cabin can be had with race seat upholstery with inner side supports finished in San Remo microfiber fabric, a sporty multifunction leather-trimmed steering wheel with the R-Line badge on it, front door sill plates in aluminium, and stainless steel pedals and foot rest. These optional extras will, with no doubt give the Golf SV R-Line a more expensive feel for the driver and passengers.
Customers have been graced with the ability to choose between 17-inch Salvador alloys or the 18-inch which are available in three different designs.
According to Car Magazine, South Africans will be getting the Golf SV R-Line with only the exterior package but without the smoked taillights. Prices are not yet confirmed.
The VW Golf SV R-Line might not be a full on sports van, but it sure does look the part and will probably be quite intimidating to its Peugeot, Mazda and Opel rivals.
