Volkswagen with a new 60-second spot returns to 2014 Super Bowl

Volkswagen announced that the company will be a part of the advertising blitz at the 2014 Super Bowl.

Earlier Volkswagen, during the 2011 Super Bowl, scored very well with a Star Wars-themed commercial called “The Force.” The commercial featured the 2012 Volkswagen Passat and a pint-sized Darth Vader. In fact, the commercial shot by the company was highly acclaimed and regarded as the best auto commercial ever showed during the Super Bowl.

However, there has been no news as to which vehicle of the German company will be featured in the 60-second ad for the event this year. The company, though, said that the new commercial will be “uniquely Volkswagen.”

According to Vinay Shahani, Vice President, Marketing, Volkswagen America, “Volkswagen gladly accepts the challenge of keeping fans smiling during the Big Game’s commercial break.” He conveys this message through a company statement.

Whatever commercial the automaker plans out during 2014 Super Bowl, it is expected to be memorable.

Hyundai, Audi, Kia, and Jaguar are some of the other automakers who have already confirmed to have advertisements during the 2014 game.

Hyundai is expecting to promote its new Elantra and Genesis during 2014 Super Bowl, which is taking place on February 2, 2014 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
