Volkswagen’s Taiwan dealer eyes higher sales


An aggressive sales goal about 50percent higher than the the record number of vehicles that were sold in the markets last year is what the European Carmaker Volkswagen’s Taiwan Dealer had in store to announce.

Beldare Motors Limited plans to sell 12,000 vehicles in Taiwan this year after posting record sales of 8,388 units in 2010, Huang Chi-li, managing director of the Taiwanese distributor, told reporters.

The company set the ambitious sales goal based on its bullish outlook for Taiwan’s economy.  Volkswagen is expected to launch a total of 35 car models of various sizes in Taiwan this year.
